The Delaware - Dark Chocolate Kudu

$328

Boot and Leather

Genuine kudu leather from the C.F. Stead tannery paired with one of our classic patterns we first launched with - a brogue cap toe known as the Delaware. This boot features genuine kudu leather from Southern and Eastern Africa. Kudu is a game leather and is known to have natural scars and variations.

The color of this leather is the darkest of browns we have worked with, so much so it almost looks black initially. After a few months of wear, you will start to see the dark chocolate brown undertones come through to the surface.

The current Parkhurst last runs between a D and single E width with an almond shaped toe. Our general rule of thumb is to go down a half size from your typical sneaker size. We recommend trying your boots on with a thin or dress sock to get an accurate idea of fit since this is a dressier last. If you wear a size 10.5 in sneakers or casual shoes, we would suggest a 10 in our boots. If you wear a single E wide width we would suggest ordering your typical sneaker or casual shoe size. If you are a EE, EEE width or higher our last will not fit you.

Brand size comparison examples:

Viberg 2030 - go one half size up if D/standard width.

Red Wing - Half size up generally, TTS for a snug fit on D width or narrow foot.

Allen Edmond's Boots - TTS.

Alden Barrie - TTS for a snug fit, if wearing thicker socks go 1/2 size up.

Nike - half size down

New Balance - half size down

Additional Detail

If you are a 10D on the Brannock device and a true D/standard width, we suggest ordering a 9.5 in our boots. Those who are on the border of a 10D/10E Brannock or who are looking for that extra bit of room in the toebox should order their Brannock size. In this example, size 10.

Sizing can be particular for each individual and we are more than happy to help you determine the correct size in our boots by emailing info@parkhurstbrand.com. We can also assist in identifying the right size for you based off of what you wear in other brands of footwear.
