The Allen - Dune Roughout
Boot and Leather
As seen in British GQ, this boot combines an elegant silhouette with a sturdy rough-out leather.
Crafted from thick, free-range rough-out 5.5/6 ounce leather from the SB Foot tannery, this boot features a classic plain toe pattern with a few subtle upgrades from our previous Allen design. Heavy duty waxed cotton laces and a contrast tongue provide the security you desire along with a touch of style.
This leather is a rough-out leather (the reverse side of a hide's grain) which means you can put this through the ringer and it will only look better with age. It requires no conditioning and is meant to take on the colors and marks of the work and environment in which you put them through.

The current Parkhurst last runs between a D and single E width with a slight almond shaped toe. Our general rule of thumb is to go down a half size from your typical sneaker size. So for example, if you wear a size 10.5 in sneakers, we would suggest a size 10 in our boots. We recommend trying your boots on/wearing them with a thin sock or dress sock to get an accurate idea of fit. If you wear a single E wide width or prefer a bit of extra room in your footwear, we would suggest ordering your Brannock size. Our last will generally not accommodate EE or EEE widths and higher as measured on a Brannock device, however our customers wearing the aforementioned widths tend to take their typical sneaker size or go a half size up from Brannock as not much more length is added when doing so.
Brand size comparison examples:
Viberg 2030 - Half size up if D/standard width.
Red Wing No. 8 Last - Half size up.
Allen Edmond's Boots - TTS.
Alden Barrie - Generally one half size up.
Nike - Half size down.
New Balance - Half size down.
Adidas - Half size down.
Reebok - Half size down.
If you are a 10D on the Brannock device and a true D/standard width, we suggest ordering a 9.5 in our boots. Those who are on the border of a 10D/10E Brannock or who are looking for an extra bit of room in the toebox should order their Brannock size. In this example, size 10.

Sizing can be particular for each individual and we are more than happy to help you determine the correct size in our boots by emailing firstname.lastname@example.org. We can also assist in identifying the right size for you based off of what you wear in other brands of footwear.
We believe in making our footwear in the U.S. to help revive the American manufacturing industry. The materials used to make this boot came from the below states:
Wisconsin, Ohio, Illinois, New York, Michigan, Pennsylvania and Massachusetts.
We love using Dainite soles and C.F. Stead leather - and will continue to do so in the future. Since these are not manufactured directly here they are ordered through American distributors in the Mid-West and Eastern coast to help support the supply chain both in the industry and the U.S.A.
